I RUN This Town: Miami

Greetings Friends and Family and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and of course Festivus,

It's been about a month since I last shared a little about Laci, so I want to be sure and bring you up to the latest.

Many of you know, I am an athlete and a triathlete and of course a runner! Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to venture south-- Miami that is, with momma and Someone Special in my fifth1/2 marathon!! I still can't believe I have taken the time to train and run five, with my sites set on number six, seven, and eight for 2012 already!

As a part of my love of health and fitness, I ran across (literally) a national runners group called Black Girls Run. I met another young lady at a race, wearing their shirt. Long story short, Someone Special suggested I look them up on the internet. I did! And next thing I know, I am now the Running Ambassador for the city of Milwaukee. Whoa! Well, the ladies asked me to be sure and post video to the group's FB page about this experience. Being the shy girl that I am, or is that ham, I gladly obliged. I wanted to share the experience with each of you as well! ENJOY!

Here's a final pic at the finish line with some of the ladies from Black Girls Run South Florida!
and yes, I am wearing a dress! LOVE IT! Until the New Year!

The Long Road HOME!

Hello Everyone,

This season I had the pleasure of learning a little more about the sport of baseball and the Brewers specifically, thanks to Someone Special.

Now, I have always been a football fan, but who knew I would learn to love baseball as well! I mean, to point where I am talking stats and big plays around the office! In official Beast Mode of course! lol Well needless to say, after all my intensive training, and with the Brew Crew just one step from the World Series, I had to be at a playoff game! And so, as the it goes, "You have not, 'cause you ask not." Well, not this kid!

So Game One of Brewers vs Cardinals we had the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful day and the company of 43,000 adoring fans! And while we were high enough to get a nose bleed (figuratively speaking) also known as the Uecker Seats,  it was a great time! And we WON... making it even better. Unfortunately while the Long Road has lead us back Home and not to the World Series *sigh* it has still been a great season. Enjoy a few pics from our big day!

I am still proud of my team! In the end went farther than most and there is always next year! Go Brew Crew!
